This is a copy of the note I'll be sending home today:

Dear Parents,

            This year students will be participating in a Science Fair. Students are required to complete an experiment-based project and may work alone or with a partner. Requirements for the project include: a written report that follows the scientific method, a display of the project, and an oral presentation of the project in class. Please see attached handouts for further information regarding requirements. Topics are due on February 12^th. (Please see below.) Projects are to be completed at home and are due on March 3^rd. In-class presentations will be held March 3^rd-11^th. There will be an open house for parents to come view the projects on March 12^th. For those projects chosen to go to the Sherwood Science Fair, it will be held after March Break.
